Rainy Day in AZ

Yesterday was yet another gray, rainy day in Arizona. We get more rain here than when we lived in Georgia! And I thought we were moving to a desert... Anyway, the dog was living it up by staking claim to our bed. I snapped this picture and thought it was a riot. Rocket is such a big baby and he loves to spend a large portion of the day either sleeping on our bed or over in the new baby's room. The only reason I think he likes to be in the nursery is because we have baby toys in there which, to a dog, must be awfully tempting. The other day I caught him running around the house squeaking one of the baby toys. It was pretty funny actually, but I can't let him know that! lol

Chinese New Year

Over the weekend we went to the Chinese Cultural Center for their Chinese New Year Celebration. It was very cool and Caleb had a blast. He even managed to squeeze into a Chinese outfit a friend gave us a year and a half ago. Needless to say, this is the last time he will be wearing this outfit! Good thing we are going to Taiwan so we can pick up a few more.

Seeing all the authentic food, crafts and Chinese products for sale really made us anxious for our trip to Taiwan. It also helped us to think about what souvenirs we would like to purchase while we are over there. Topping the list so far is Jade, scrolls and tea sets. I guess we'll have to make sure we pack light so we have room to bring things home.

Caleb got a free pair of promotional sunglasses from an insurance booth and he thought he was extremely cool. This is his best kung-fu pose. I can't wait till he's sixteen and I can show this picture to his girlfriend! lol

What A Great Day!

This has been a wonderful day so far and it's not even lunchtime! Not only did we finally receive our fingerprint clearance for our homestudy this morning, we also received the February update for our baby! She is getting so big! She will be 4 months old on February 9th and her last pictures were taken over two months ago. I just cannot get over how much she has filled out and how adorable she is - plus she's wearing PINK!

However, I do have to say that in a few of the pictures she looks a little less than pleased. Maybe it's nap time or...

...maybe she is as annoyed with the court systems and all the red tape as we are!

Rob was just thrilled that her hair isn't sticking straight up all over.  I'm sure her hair will reach that point sometime, but right now it's perfect little fuzz. In fact, if I were to guess, not only will she have big cheeks like her mama, but I'm thinking her hair will be thin like mine too.

Poor baby. Some family traits are just a common thing no matter where your gene pool comes from.
