Little Swedish Boy

Caleb's class recently had to do 'Ancestry Reports' in class. They had to write a one page report on the country where one of their ancestors came from, dress like they were from that country and make a dish from that country. Since part of Rob's family is from Sweden, and because Caleb looks like a little Swedish boy, it was the obvious choice. I made him a little outfit and we baked Swedish Chocolate Sticky Cake.

We are very fond of the Swedish Chocolate Sticky Cake and I have made it a few times since we discovered the recipe - it is soooo good. Yum!
By the way, just so everyone knows, little Taiwanese girls really, really like Swedish chocolate cake too!

Christmas in Pennsylvania

Here are a few pictures from Christmas in Pennsylvania.

Happy 8th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Caleb!!! My 'baby' is eight today! Where does the time go? After a special breakfast of heart-shaped eggs, Caleb took rice krispy treats into school then invited his best friend Evan over to play after school. After a couple of hours of playing Star Wars, Legos and video games, we went to McDonalds for dinner. After a half hour in the playground area, we came back home and had some cake. Pretty fun day for an 8 year old.

Myah had to make sure her picture was taken too. What a little ham!

Snow

It snowed a couple of times while we were up in Pennsylvania for Christmas. The morning after we arrived, we woke up to 14 inches of snow. It was beautiful and Caleb had a blast. We had flurries off and on throughout the week and then, close to New Year's, we had another several inches fall. This time Myah joined Caleb out in the snow and had a lot of fun. She loved sledding and throwing the snow. Caleb built a snow fort and a snowman and we all had a great time - except Daddy, who was curled up inside by the fireplace.

Playing House & A Visit From Pop-Pop

Pop-Pop flew down to spend a few days with us before we left for PA. He and Caleb always enjoy going fishing together and we all love hanging out at the beach together. Myah got a play house from Caleb for Christmas and she loves it!

Christmas in Florida

Since the kids and I were leaving for PA on the 18th, we celebrated Christmas in Florida on December 11th this year. The kids loved their toys and really enjoy playing with them.
