9 Days and Counting

We have been given clearance to pick up Myah on June 17th!  As of this morning our tickets are booked, the hotel has been contacted and packing has begun.  We are going to do our best to use this blog as an online 'journal' while we are in Taiwan.  Rob & I have vowed to write down the day's events each night before going to bed so we will have a record of what we did and what we saw while in Taiwan.  This will also be a great opportunity for all of our friends and family to keep up with our journey.  We will see how well it works, but our intentions are good.  :-) 

Below is a rough itinerary of what we will be doing and when.

6/12 Leave PHX @ 9:45am - Leave LAX @ 3:15 pm  

6/13 Arrive TPE @ 8:10pm -check in to hotel

6/14 - Use MRT (subway system) to explore Taipei - recover from jetlag

6/15 - Trip to Yunlin county / Huwei Town (Myah's birthplace)

6/16 - Spend the day at Beitou Hot Springs Resort (Rob's Father's Day present!)

6/17 - Travel to Taichung to pick up Myah

6/18 - Sight see in Taipei - Apply for visa at AIT

6/19 - Sight see in Taipei - Pick-up visa at AIT

6/20 - Visit Lion's Head Mountain and Emei Lake (via High-speed rail)

6/21 - Leave TPE @ 4:40pm - Leave LAX @ 6:50pm - Arrive PHX @ 8:10pm
